The Presque Isle High School boys golf team won its first ever state championship on Friday by shooting a 323 to edge Freeport by five strokes in the Class B competition at the Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro.
The annual Presque Isle Elks Lodge 1954 Soccer Shoot was held Sunday, Oct. 1 at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, with eight age-group champions winning trophies and soccer balls and earning the opportunity to advance to the Maine Elks Northern District Shoot in Bangor on Oct. 15.
