VFW inducts local members into Vietnam memorial

Members of the Lister-Knowlton VFW post in Caribou and the president of the VFW Auxiliary recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to induct two of their comrades into the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Program.

Florence Nason presented with Boston Post Cane for Linneus

Florence Nason wore many hats during her time as a municipal leader for the town of Linneus. The one-time town clerk and town manager, Nason was the guest of honor for Saturday’s Linneus Field Day parade and was presented with the Boston Post Cane as the town’s oldest living resident.

ACAP tax prep makes seniors eligible for relief funds

Personnel with the Aroostook Agency on Aging celebrated Older Americans Month last month with visits to all parts of northern Maine. This year’s theme “Age My Way” focused on how older adults can age in their communities, living independently for as long as possible and participating in ways they choose.
