Class on ‘The Veteran Experience’

 Weekly music jam has senior community rockin’ in Aroostook County

Volunteer musicians play classic country music, such as Hank Williams, with a little bit of old time rock n’ roll thrown into the mix for the mature crowd. The number of musicians varies week to week. For this performance, seven musicians played for the crowd.

Presque Isle Rotary Safe Steps program returns

The club is partnering with several retail sponsors, community public works departments, and the Aroostook Area Agency on Aging to provide free five-gallon buckets (half filled) of sand/salt mix for older adults to help prevent slips and falls. Individuals age 55 and older are encouraged to register to have a bucket delivered to their residence by a volunteer community member on Oct. 18.
