Happy tails

By Gail Wieder Recently I have read messages on social media sites about animals, mostly cats and dogs, needing to find good homes. Maybe someone passed away, came down with an illness or is moving and cannot take the animal with them. In several instances they stated they didn’t want to take the animal to […]

Pet Talk

Our volunteers have worked nonstop. Their commitment is unbelievable and we love them for that. Yes, we are behind schedule, but we are so close to an opening so please stay tuned – we will be announcing a grand opening date in the near future.

Pet Talk

Feet. Most of us have them, some of us have one, many have two. I can remember when my son was little, I was fascinated by his tiny little feet and tiny little toes. I sit at home at night and state, regularly, “Scruffy, stop chewing your feet”. (Scruffy is my dog, not my husband before his shower).

If you live in Maine, you “dress your feet” which is a phrase I was not accustomed to some 40 plus years ago when I moved here from New Jersey. In the south, you “put your shoes on” and in New England you “dress your feet.”
