Over the last couple of weeks, I have had a couple of friends who have lost their dogs. My heart bleeds for them. It is so hard when your pets get older and you know that their time is up, and you are the one who has to make that decision if it is their time to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
As another year comes to ca close we at The Ark stand back and look at our accomplishments for the year.
Our volunteers have worked so hard and they deserve a huge pat on the back for a job well done. They are currently caring for about 61 cats.

In animal rescue there are good days and bad days. There are stories that make you laugh and those that break your heart and make you cry.
I admit it: I am one of the very few left in America who have not watched the “Twilight” sagas or the mega-hit HBO series “Game of Thrones.” The enthusiastic following of these shows is unbelievable, and what has happened is that fans are clamoring to incorporate as many elements of the show into their lives as possible.
I’d like to take a minute to talk to you about two legged critters for a change. We all know I love and adore the four legged members of our family, but it takes the human heart to swell with kindness and compassion when they see an animal struggling or suffering, and those are the hearts I am surrounded by.
