I am a dog lover. My friends all know this. If you have read any of my articles, you know this. I have several friends who are also co-workers and they are also dog lovers. We like to share our “dog” experiences with each other — it doesn’t matter what the experience is — and know that we are there for each other because we are “dog moms.”
A few weeks ago we received a phone call about a newborn kitten that had been found at one of the local businesses. We were asked if we could help. We told them to bring the kitten to us right away.
As we wind down from our busy summer, we start to think more about our to do lists. With back to school here and the holidays coming up soon we can catch up on what did not get done this summer.
Heidi, a 2-year old spayed female Siamese mix, is ready for a quiet home with a family who will realize that she is extremely shy and will give her time to adjust.
Things have been extremely busy at The Ark and we are now on overload with kittens. Right now we have 25 kittens and that does not include adult cats.

Stormy Culvert is a 7-week, 2-pound, gray and white kitten rescued by Halfway Home Pet Rescue of Caribou and volunteers including Wes Holmes, Chris Corbin and Casey Estabrook on Sept. 2.
