Ark Animal Sanctuary – Week of April 27, 2022

About a month ago, we took in a cat who had taken up residence in someone’s yard. We were contacted and agreed to take the cat. She was live-trapped and brought to The Ark. When we took her out of the trap her belly was very large and round. We knew immediately she was pregnant.

The joy of a dog

What a joy it is to see your dog smile.  Yes, dogs do smile.  
Whether they are greeting us at the door or romping with their pals, their joy is infectious.

Purr-fect kitty care

Ark Animal Sanctuary – Week of April 13, 2022

On Wednesday night, a black and white cat was picked up in the middle of the road by a very kind gentleman. The cat was brought to the Ark and then taken to the vet where it spent the night and most of the next day.

Ark Animal Sanctuary – Week of March 23, 2022

Steve has had very long and stressful days. Saturday he wasn’t feeling well and wouldn’t eat. He had diarrhea and started peeing blood. He was rushed to Veazie for emergency vet care with a temperature of 103.9 degrees. He had x-rays taken and an ultrasound.
