Pet Talk

On Nov. 11, we expected a normal day. But we were wrong in so many ways. The state animal welfare called and they were in the process of seizing several animals from a neglect case in Houlton. We were told there were several poodles, a rabbit and two chickens. At first, like always, we went into panic mode. Where are we putting them? How many are coming? What to do first?

Ark Animal Sanctuary

Everyday we hear so many sad stories about animals sometimes we just need to hear a happy story to remind us how important the work we do is. I am sure that most of you are familiar with the two rottweilers — Bleu and Wolf — with hip dysplasia. They have been in the care of The Ark for almost a year now living with foster parents. Moses Margo     Volunteers at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue have named them Moses (white) and Margo (torti) and they are very clean, sweet and loving.
