DONATION      Laboratory staff at The Aroostook Medical Center, along with the staff from North Street Family Practice and Internal Medicine and Aroostook Pediatrics, collected items to be donated to the Central Aroostook Humane Society in Presque Isle during National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week which was April 20-26.

What a busy few weeks it has been at Houlton Humane Society. We have done a number of adoptions, and had so many visitors … every day is busy. We love it this way. Halfway Pet Home Rescue

Contributed photo    There are currently three rabbits at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue awaiting good homes. The rabbits are spay/neutered and are ready for adoption. President of the HHPR Norma Milton says that the rabbits are great pet quality, very gentle and happy and are about 95 percent litter box trained.

We are always looking for better ways to improve our shelter and improve the lives of our cats and dogs for the time they are with us. Over the years we’ve acquired Kuranda beds for several of our pet cages, donated by pet lovers.
