Grant funds bolster spay/neuter initiative

    CARIBOU — Officials with the Halfway Home Pet Rescue recently announced that the shelter has received a $7,000 grant to assist with the shelter’s efforts to spay and neuter area felines.

FUNDRAISER

FUNDRAISER      The Central Aroostook Humane Society in Presque Isle recently held a car wash at the Dead River Company on Main Street, raising $220 to benefit the homeless animals at the shelter.
