The Allagash Wilderness Waterway Foundation, founded in 2011, is a group of dedicated volunteers who are interested in enhancing the wilderness character of the waterway, protecting its environment, preserving its historic and cultural values and fostering knowledge and understanding of the waterway.

Recently we have read and heard about sanctuary towns. We hear about the Second Amendment. We hear about guns being taken from us. By whom will our guns be taken?
When you’re working with early town records you’ll often encounter pages of family histories where the parents and children are listed with birth dates.
I have always supported our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Over the course of my three years as your state representative, I have proposed and supported several pieces of legislation to support gun owners.

Eighteen years ago, on March 19, 2003, the United States invaded Iraq. Immediately thereafter [as well as before], anti-war protests began throughout Maine. The protest in Presque Isle has been continuous, in all weathers, through all these years.
If an organization was going to choose a year to recognize the contributions employees are making, this is the year. COVID-19 has challenged us all to find new ways to do things and change, and adjust, and change again when necessary.

It seems to me that many people fetish over guns.
During the course of my career, I had the privilege of meeting people from every possible walk of life all over the world, and each will forever hold a dear place within my portfolio of memories and lessons learned. One gentleman in particular has captivated my attention once again.
A little over two weeks ago we received a phone call about an injured stray cat. The person said it had been coming to their home every morning to eat and that it had injuries to its head and ears. We were asked to help and we said “yes” if they could catch the cat.
