Public should attend SAD 70 meeting

To the editor:
As your elected school board member, I feel obligated to respond to the recent [Department of Education] investigation. Unlike the district, I am not happy with the outcome and findings at MSAD 70.

Recycling and litter

As the weather has warmed, a familiar problem has been revealed — litter.  Litter at some of our recycling igloo locations has become a significant issue, and one that we are asking for the public’s help with.

Could the mosquito be useful?

Summer has begun and the mosquitoes and black flies are feasting on everyone. Thanks to COVID-19 issues there are problems with the supply of blood and blood products. And for the first time this year, the flyswatter has assumed its position as an office staff member.

Serve people before party

To the editor:
A year ago, I lost my job at Cary Medical Center and was forced to use food stamps just to put food on the table. I fell behind on my mortgage and car payments and had to negotiate with the bank so they wouldn’t repossess my car.

What does a diamond symbolize in the world we live in today?  Wealth?  Power?  The flaunting of a societal position or booming success?  Does the size of the diamond increase with the intensity of the commitment?  Is it a gauge that measures the potency of love?
