Queries can help

If you’re stuck in your research, you might want to consider writing a query.  For those who might not know, a query is a request for information about an ancestor. Queries can be found on websites, blogs, journals, social media pages, genealogical newsletters, conference programs or query boards, lineage society publications, and other genealogically related communications.

In 1955 at my home in Nashua, New Hampshire, Mom and Dad finally purchased a TV set.  As I recall, it was a Stromberg Carlson and what a beauty. I was 12.

A blast from the past

To the editor:
345 miles to Ft. Kent and no Interstate 95 from Lewiston. Back in the 50s, and no GPS. My grandparents, Honore and Sophie Theriault Voisine, lived on N. Perley Brook Road.

Not proud to live in Maine anymore

To the editor:
I am a lifetime resident of Maine.  I have always been proud of my state.  Maine was a beautiful state without a lot of crime, but I am so disappointed to admit that I live in Maine now.
