To expand on my previous letter to the editor, a little shorter school district wide harvest break, grouping teacher’s in-service days, and some excused absences might be enough to bring in the crop

I understand how hard of a decision the harvest break is for the school board. It’s been said that the school board’s only responsibility is for the good of the students.

The animals need your help

To the editor:
The Halfway Home Pet Rescue is currently running very short of supplies for the close to 200 dogs and cats we are feeding daily.
