I read through the BDN’s account of newspaper printing ending in Presque Isle. I can understand the alarming rise in the price of newsprint and how it further squeezes diminishing profits on most papers.
Last November, U.S. Rep. Bruce Poliquin made an impassioned plea to save Maine jobs in front of the International Trade Commission in Washington, D.C.

The International Day of Peace was celebrated on Sept. 21. Thousands of people worldwide, from as close as Bangor, took part in witnessing for peace.
The Fort Fairfield Rotary has been serving the community for 40 years. We have appreciated the support that the community has given us throughout this time, as it has allowed us the opportunity to serve.

In a March 2016 interview with NPR, Sen. Collins was quoted as saying, “I believe that the best outcome from the Senate, whether we’re dealing with nominees or treaties or legislation, come about when we follow the regular order.”
As a third-generation Aroostook County native and avid sportswoman, I’m supporting Bruce Poliquin to continue to represent northern Maine’s interests in Washington, D.C.
