I’m writing to send gratitude and sincere appreciation to the person that has two large trailers at the corner of Rt. 1 and Main Street in Van Buren, the two trailers with large type screaming “TRUMP 2020.”

We at Grace Interfaith Food Table (GIFT) wish to thank the United Way of Aroostook, Josh Tweedie and his team at Star City IGA, Kevin Kinney and his team at Save-A-Lot, and area churches for making sure that our clients had a happier Thanksgiving and Christmas season by supplying turkeys and other holiday foods.
Here is an inspirational movie and true story for Christmas that shows that hearts can truly be changed. “Silent Night” (2002) is heartwarming, though it doesn’t hide the pain of war. The story takes place in 1944 during the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes forest of Europe.

This summer, 15 volunteers attended a short training before conducting street tree surveys in different neighborhoods in Houlton. One volunteer noted, “I can no longer walk or drive in town without assessing the street trees.”

I have lived in Maine for 32 years, Castle Hill and then Presque Isle. I was once head selectman in Castle Hill. This is my home and my children’s birthplace, and you are my neighbors. I am a conservative Democrat, but this in no way affects my love of my town, my county, my state or my neighbors.

On election night and the three days following I witnessed, just watching [on television] what happened at Philadelphia’s and Detroit’s election headquarters, enough fraud to totally reverse the results of their tallies.
