Paradis will work for important issues

To the editor:
The car coming in our driveway had a license plate with Fizzit on it. Indeed, it was House of Representative for District 2 candidate Ben Paradis, a native of Frenchville, son of Lucien and Marie, one of 12 siblings.

November election is critical

To the editor:
The upcoming November election is a very critical election. I believe that our country is now in the most precarious domestic situation since the American Civil War of 1860 to 1865.

Lack of internet hurts us all

To the editor:
I’m supportive of any initiative that ensures every resident in Caribou has access to high-speed internet. That’s why I was encouraged to hear that there is a simple, low-cost solution in front of the Caribou City Council that will connect all residents in our city.

Child care in The County

To the editor:
There were a few errors in the article entitled “Providers say child care needs change to survive” in the Sept. 21, 2022, edition of the Aroostook Republican that I would like to address.  I have had a family child care in my home for the past 29 years (not 24). My capacity is 12 children (not 10)

Leaders need to help solve child care crisis

To the editor:

On Thursday, Sept. 15, a town hall meeting was held at the Caribou Recreation Center. For nearly 90 minutes, community members heard from local daycare providers the chilling details of a system on the verge of collapse.
