Ark Animal Sanctuary – Week of April 26, 2023

A few weeks ago we told you about a sweet cat named Shamu who came to the sanctuary in critical condition. We did not hesitate to help him. He was at the vet clinic for a week and went through a four-hour surgery. We thought he was on the road to a happy, healthy life.

75 Years Ago April 22, 1948 Air Force Increases Training Classes – The Air Force will increase to 3,000 the number of cadets for pilot training classes in 1948, it was announced today by Capt. Matthew M. Mack, recruiting officer, Presque Isle. Last year, he stated, only 776 candidates were accepted.

Agency on Aging gallery to show Hodgdon artist’s work in May

Parent will present a large selection of her works, as well as prints and greeting cards, during an opening reception from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 5.
