Great success — Miss Lucy Grant, who left here for Boston last fall, is having great success in her singing. She sang in a crowded church in Boston a few nights ago and the people were greatly pleased with her voice.
The annual meeting of the stockholders of the Merchants’ Trust & Banking Company was held at the Banking Rooms.
V.T. Lundvall of New Sweden says the wolves are getting to be almost too neighborly around his farm.

Purchase — The Aroostook Lumber Company has purchased the Stevens mill plant in Fort Fairfield and its stock of lumber.

Entertainment — Fred Stephenson went to Smyrna Mills with his hurdy-gurdy Monday, where he furnished music for a dance in the evening.
Halifax thankful — Ralph P. Bell, chairman of the Halifax Relief Committee, had written J. F. Guiou, chairman of the Board of Selectmen, acknowledging receipt of the contribution of $150 from the people of Presque Isle
Basketball game — Presque Isle won in a game with Patten Academy, acknowledged to be a fast basketball team, in Perry Theatre.
Resigned position — Miss Rose Donovan, for several years a stenographer in the law office of Madigan & Madigan, has resigned her position there.
First store being torn — The old Winslow Hall store in that part of the town formerly known as Lyndon is being torn down. This was the first store in Lyndon and was at one time occupied by Joseph B. Hinds.

Business trip — Mrs. Geo. E. Young, experienced dressmaker, has returned from Boston with samples of all goods, linings and trimmings, 21 Green St.
