Local news — George F. Reynolds left last week for Seattle, Washington, where he will purchase machinery with which to operate the mines of the Caribou Mining Company in Alaska.

New equipment — The Houlton Business College has added to the equipment of the Shorthand department a new Edison phonograph for dictation purposes.
Dr. Lowrey received from the State Fish Hatchery a consignment of 40,000 young trout, which he released in the water of the Presque Isle Stream
Mrs. M.L.T. White returned from Hot Springs, Ark., where she attended the National Federation of Women’s Clubs, as State Federation president.

Change of location — The Home Restaurant, conducted by Mrs. Lougee, is soon to change its location.
Splendid work — Fred P. Loring of Presque Isle High School did a splendid work in agricultural lines and not only did he provide a great stimulus to the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs but he gave some of his time in helping farmers to special calls.
Two moose were seen Wednesday evening on the B&A track near the pumping station. They were also observed going through the yard of H.S. Hardison on South Main Street.
