75 Years Ago –   May 9, 1946
Local man to practice dentistry in Presque Isle — Dr. Kenneth H. Bonenfant, son of Mrs. and the late Albert G. Bonenfant, was discharged from the U.S. Navy. After three years service, he began the general practice of dentistry in Presque Isle.

Attractive show window — One of the handsomest show windows seen in town for a long time and one that seems to have “punch” is that of P.S. Berrie, the Main Street Music Store man. It is decorated with instruments and records of all shapes and sizes.

Veterans Information Center director awarded — Clinton O. White, director of the Veterans Information Center of Presque Isle, was awarded a certificate of merit by the Maine Council of Veterans Affairs for successfully completing courses of study at Augusta and Togus for information center directors, and for meritorious services rendered veterans of Presque Isle.

100 Years Ago – April 21, 1921
New officers — At the annual meeting of the Fidelity Trust Co. held in Portland last week, two former Houlton men were among the officers elected. Major Roland Clark was appointed vice president in charge of the Bond Department, and Hon. Leonard Pierce was elected a member of its advisory board.
