Green’s honored Veteran employees at dinner dance — H. B. Green & Sons, Inc., held a dinner party and dance in the Northeastland hotel honoring Mae Brewer and Roseanna Mitchell, who had completed 25 years’ service with the firm, Arnold Green announced.

Littleton man named ‘Farmer of the Year’ – The Maine Potato Board will honor two industry leaders at its annual meeting in January. Robert Bartlett of Littleton has been named 1998 Farm of the year, while Kendall Shaw of Fort Fairfield is the 1998 Young Farmer of the Year.

Westfield teacher retirement honored — Approximately 100 friends and former pupils of Mrs. Alda E. Day met at the Westfield School to honor her for her 38 years in the teaching profession, 30 of which were in the Westfield schools, and to wish her happiness in her retirement years.
