Hundreds come out to remember Loring 25 years after its closure

Memories of a robust Loring Air Force Base have not faded, even after a quarter of a century. Residents from northern Maine and across the country gathered Aug. 23 to 25 to meet old friends and reminisce during the 25th anniversary of the base’s 1994 closure.

Classic cars on display

The North Country Cruisers were out in force Friday, Aug. 9, for a cruise-in and barbecue at Seiders Hilltop Lanes. More than 20 car owners turned out for the event, which also included a barbecue.
