Whether they were picking fiddleheads, shopping at the farmers market or enjoying live music, people who attended Presque Isle’s first Fiddlehead Festival Saturday agreed on one thing: it’s good to get out again.
CARIBOU, Maine — Caribou’s Memorial Day Parade on May 31 will be the city’s first big community event since the pandemic resulted in lockdowns across the world last March.
After tentatively moving to Main Street and then the North Mall parking lot due to uncertainties surrounding restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Caribou’s popular Thursdays on Sweden event will return on June 3 to its original location — Sweden Street.
The town of Limestone will host a week’s worth of events leading up to Independence Day this year, starting on Monday, June 28, and ending with fireworks over Trafton Lake on July 4, with a rain date set for July 5.
The next “Thursdays on Sweden” event will be a concert held on the North Mall Parking Lot, adjacent to Sweden Street, a move made after city councilors criticized previous plans to hold an alternative event on Main Street.
After its cancellation last year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Houlton Agricultural Fair will make a comeback this year.
