Amid growing concerns of the spread of COVID-19, there will be no showing of the annual Southern Aroostook Trade Show for the second straight year.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Maine Vet Centers, Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services and community partners will hold a Stand Down for homeless Veterans from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5, in Caribou.

HOULTON, Maine — The Bridge to Hope Cancer Awareness Walk is returning to its roots as the group continues to raise money for local people battling the disease.
Due to increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases locally, the University of Maine at Presque Isle will require proof of vaccination or negative testing for people who want to attend indoor Homecoming events this weekend.
