The holiday season has begun in the Shiretown following Saturday’s arrival of Santa Claus to officially illuminate the town’s Christmas tree in Market Square.

Houlton’s Gentle Memorial Building was bustling with holiday cheer Friday, Nov. 26, as the 37th annual Holiday Craft Fair returned after a one-year hiatus.
The Miss Shiretown pageant will return to the stage of the Houlton Community Arts Center in January.
