Governor, legislators join veterans for Caribou bill signing

Gov. Janet Mills joined Senate President Troy Jackson, D-Allagash, Senator Craig Hickman, D-Winthrop, and Aroostook County veterans and their families for a ceremonial bill signing at the Lister-Knowlton Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9389, in Caribou on April 8.

New Ventures Maine has opened registration for a free, 90-minute workshop designed for women to explore high-wage careers within the construction trades in Maine. Connecting Women to Construction Careers will be offered online from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4.

First baby is welcomed at Cary’s renovated delivery room

Jenna and Matthew Lombard of Easton welcomed their daughter Ryleigh Jean on April 6. 
Jenna was the first mom to deliver in Cary Medical Center’s newly renovated delivery rooms, part of a larger renovation project in the obstetrics wing.

Wintergreen brings back Kids’ (Only) Arts & Crafts Fair on May 7

Come support young, local artists and crafters at a unique Kids’ (Only) Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Wintergreen Arts Center.  Kids-only vendors will be selling their own creations including artwork, handmade sun catchers, pet products, bracelets, necklaces, magnets, slime, and more.
