NMCC grad to compete in SkillsUSA national welding competition in Atlanta

On June 17 recent NMCC diesel hydraulics graduate Alex Sweetser departed Presque Isle en route to Atlanta, Georgia, where he will compete against the nation’s most skilled welding students. Sweetser earned his place at the national competition after winning first place in Maine’s state competition in March.

Local designers win state contest

The National Kitchen and Bath Association’s Maine Chapter in partnership with Décor Maine magazine recently held their design competition awards ceremony in Augusta. Three Caribou designers took home several top prizes including the overall grand prize.

Charles “Chuck” Orser of Caribou, who came to work at the Aroostook Agency on Aging in early 2019, recently retired from his role as building coordinator at Caribou Gardens, a senior housing complex.
