UScellular invested nearly $37M in its Maine network in 2022

UScellular announced that it made a $36.8 million investment in its Maine network in 2022. This includes $25.8 million in network upgrades and 5G modernizations that enhanced connectivity across the state and $11 million in 5G spectrum that will bring additional customer benefits in future years and advances the company’s multi-year 5G network strategy.

Food boxes for veterans in need

Beginning Feb. 23 the Aroostook Veterans Alliance, Presque Isle Elks Lodge #1954, and Catholic Charities of Maine, will, in partnership, distribute boxes of nutritious food to any military veteran who currently is receiving any form of income based assistance, such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits  or food stamps, heating assistance, rental assistance, or homeowner’s assistance.

Presque Isle Historical Society is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2023 and local residents will be the ones getting the gifts! In addition to the Society’s already ambitious annual schedule of tours and events, the Society will be offering an additional anniversary event each month of 2023, the majority of which will be free to the public.
