It was cracked open. I inched forward, hoping to get a closer look. Just then, Sophie rammed herself against her locker.

There once was a cat named Guppy. She wasn’t the most positive, active or sure kitty, but she loved to go on adventures. Guppy has always been an adventurous kitty ever since she was a kitten, and this love for adventure grows as she continues her adventure through the underworld.
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Science students at the University of Maine are stepping out of the classroom and back into woods thanks to further funding on their project.
When the Aroostook Band of Micmacs reached out to the school to help determine the best use of their 734 acres of forest land, Dean Costello, Dan Swallow and Nathan Norris, all UMPI juniors, took on the project, funded by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, with their professors.
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — On Saturday, April 9, 2016, the Presque Isle High School Class of 2018 sponsored the Pre-Teen and Teen Miss Presque Isle pageant at Presque Isle High School.
Crowned Pre-Teen Miss Presque Isle was Kayleigh Jean Perry, daughter of Danielle and Justin Perry, while the Teen Miss Presque Isle crown was captured by Mayce Kinney, the daughter of Kimberly Kinney and Jirad Kinney.
In the Pre-Teen Miss event, Perry performed an acro-jazz routine to “Get Dancing” by the Disco Tex, and was sponsored by Moon Dance Studio of Presque Isle.
FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — Community and wellness are two key concepts organizers have built into the Community General Hospital Legacy Project, and Fort Fairfield residents will begin to benefit from their work this summer.
On March 1, 2016, two eighth-grade students from Fort Fairfield Middle/High School traveled to Augusta and spent the day at the State House with roughly 100 other eighth-grade girls from around the state.
CARIBOU, Maine — Three-dimensional artist and author Eileen Hull of Virginia will present a craft workshop Tuesday, May 3, 2016, in Caribou from 1-4 p.m.
