BANGOR, Maine — An Aroostook County man, who in September pleaded guilty to making false statements on annual reports with the U.S. Department of Labor while he was employed by the Defense Finance Accounting Service in Limestone, was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court to 30 days in jail, followed by three years of supervised release.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine One hundred and fifty-four students graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday, May 14, during the 2016 Commencement Exercises — the University’s 107th commencement ceremony. President Linda Schott conferred degrees for the 2015-2016 academic year upon the 85 students who participated in the ceremony held in Wieden Gymnasium.
