All my life I heard pastors and evangelists rant that animals would never inhabit Heaven. It seemed at times they were almost gleeful when reflecting on this scenario, though I never could understand why. Neither could I comprehend their reasoning to back this theory. Now that I’m older and, hopefully, wiser, I know why their reasoning, not only seemed, but was, badly flawed.

Last week Robert Beaulieu of Mapleton wrote in concerned about undue regulatory burdens and training requirements for fiddlehead pickers, possibly contributing to over harvesting. As one of the people involved in providing the trainings, I wanted to write in and clarify the purpose and the content of those sessions.

Everyone loves to see spring and all that goes with it including picnics, fresh mown grass aromas, the song birds singing and of course no snow and warm days and nights.
A lot of us have heard about the passing of Derek J. Sam and our thoughts are with those who are affected by everything that has happened. It’s tragic, in so many ways.
