Library committee to hold drawing for grill

The library is holding a raffle on a Char-Broil grill. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be held before Father’s Day. It would make a great gift for one lucky dad. A most inconsiderate act

To the editor:

The Maine DHHS, Mary Mayhew Commissioner, has finally found the perfect crime. Extort money from people who would rather not come forward because they are in the SNAP program, i.e. Food Stamps, which is perhaps not the highlight of their life.

‘No dance’ policy deserves explanation

To the editor:

As a parent of a child that attends Presque Isle Middle School, I must admit I am genuinely disappointed. I am disappointed in the lack of communication between school officials and parents. I have seen several post on Facebook during the last couple of weeks in regard to the choice of the school to no longer hold dances on school property.

Air travelers will have a voice

IN THE CITY

As part of a new marketing initiative at the Northern Maine Regional Airport (PQI), the air traveler will be given an opportunity to provide input on their satisfaction with the service they currently receive at PQI. In addition, the public will be asked how often and why they choose alternative airports. It is an opportunity that comes around infrequently and should be taken full advantage of. We need your help to ensure we are meeting the needs of air travelers in Aroostook County and Northern New Brunswick.
