Yep, fall is here. August is fast winding down and September signals harvest and hunting. A lot of outdoor folk have already forsaken fishing rods for firearms and headed out to the target range or skeet and trap fields to prepare.
The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department’s summer basketball league wrapped up Aug. 15, 2016 with a very close championship game.
With the fall sports season now under way, help is being sought from all of the coaches in reporting results so teams can receive ample coverage.

The Caribou Labor Day Road Race will be held Sept. 5, 2016 with the walkers setting off at 10:30 a.m. and the runners at 11 a.m.

The pee wee program if for boys and girls entering grades 2 and 3 this fall and the youth program if for boys and girls enter grades 4-6.
Several UMPI sports teams will begin their fall season with contests this weekend.
The women’s soccer team competes in the Husson Classic in Bangor Saturday and Sunday.
