Grant will improve distance learning

     FRENCHVILLE, Maine — SAD 33 in Frenchville will receive a federal grant of $366,459 to beef up its distance learning capabilities, according to an announcement Thursday, July 14, 2016. The impact will stretch throughout northern Aroostook.

     AROOSTOOK COUNTY, Maine — Echoes magazine begins its 28th year of continuous publication with the release of its 113th edition this month. The only Aroostook County magazine produced in print, Echoes has published quarterly since 1988.

Foliage Music Fest coming to FKOC

     FORT KENT, Maine — The Bangor Daily News, in partnership with the Fiddlehead Focus and the Fort Kent Outdoor Center, is bringing a day of music to Fort Kent on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016. The bands include Maine favorites such as The Ghost of Paul Revere and Dark Hollow Bottling Company as well as national folk artist and Aroostook County native Ellis Paul.
