Auxiliary donates to Hilltop playground project

CARIBOU, Maine — Pre-K students were moved from Teague Park to Hilltop Elementary School during the 2009-10 school year and though the move is a perfect fit for the students, staff and faculty, one piece of the puzzle is still missing: playground equipment.

Wake up America, smell the coffee

To the editor:
As I sit and think of the many past years and elections, I have set and said or done nothing. I feel I have let my friends, neighbors and country down by not being a voice for what is right and just in the sight of our God.

Readers weigh in on bear hunting referendum

Bears deserve protection

To the editor:
We have a chance this Election Day to stop the unsporting bear hunting practices of baiting, hounding and trapping. To do it, vote “Yes” on Question 1. If you haven’t voted in years or even if you haven’t registered to vote, this is the election to do so.

Pellet boilers working well

To the editor:

To the editor:
It’s election time again and four of the seven seats on the Caribou City Council, including those of Mayor Aiken and Councilor McDougal, are up for grabs. Predictably, the posturing and theatrics coming out of Caribou City Hall are downright hilarious.

Citizens weigh in on Nov. 4 election

To the editor:
You can tell its voting time again when the politicians are all over the airwaves making promises they know they can’t keep if elected, but this is dumbed down America being taken advantage of by Democrats who are doing well at keeping people poor and guaranteeing votes to put idiots back in office.

Even more important than politics

To the editor:
In ESPN preseason polls the Kansas City Royals were picked by only one of their writers to make it to the World Series and the Giants were not picked by any of the dozen or more writers. If a poll was taken by writers in Maine prior to the 2014 high school baseball season I suspect the Caribou Vikings would not be on anyone’s list of potential state baseball finalists.
