With the help of the Rotary Clubs in Caribou, Fort Fairfield, Limestone and Washburn, the University of Maine at Presque Isle and the Presque Isle Rotary Club are declaring their third annual World Polio Day and Purple Pinkie Project celebration — which spread throughout central Aroostook County and was held from Oct. 18-25 — a big success.
Officers are also investigating two shoplifting incidents at Main Street businesses – one on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Freshies On The Run and the other on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Walmart.

CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou City Council met for their regular meeting on Nov. 10, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Prior to the regular meeting, a special ceremony was also held to swear in the newly elected councilor Tiffany Steward, who recently ran unopposed for the one-year council seat. Stewart won the election with 2,375 votes.
CARIBOU, Maine — “Where does one begin to talk about a father?,” asked Freeman Wright’s daughter Cindy Mishler in a commemorative book she and her sister-in-law Jaimee Mishler created along with helpful memories from the rest of the family.
