• Walter Collins of Fort Fairfield’s Scates and Co. had charge of the company’s store in this village (Caribou) this week.

Over my years of family research, I have come to respect and admire the genealogical work of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS), which they offer up to the world quite freely, if not entirely free. Both the church and its members have done more, to my mind, to advance the field than any other organization.

Veterans Day observed at NM Veterans Cemetery

Winter weather settled into Aroostook County a little over a month before the official beginning of the season this year, but the chilly temperatures and snow-covered ground did not deter a large crowd from gathering at the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Caribou on Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day.
