Six earn medals at Dexter tourney

Freshman Evan Michaud went 5-0 over the weekend and capped off the performance with a championship in Saturday’s tournament held at Dexter Regional High School.
Michaud, Caribou’s 106-lb. wrestler, is coming off a broken arm and only recently was cleared to compete, but still went undefeated Friday at Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln and the following day in Dexter.

Construction to start in spring on new MSSM greenhouse

LIMESTONE, Maine — The Maine School of Science and Mathematics will be moving forward in the new year with plans to replace an existing greenhouse with a new unit about three times the footprint of the existing greenhouse — that’s 1,200 square feet, large enough to fit an entire class.

Ice jam to winter in Fort Fairfield

    An ice jam that’s been moving down the Aroostook River looks to have settled in Fort Fairfield for the winter and though it’s not currently posing any problems, officials will be keeping an eye on it come this spring.
