Autism group hosts first Christmas Celebration

The sounds, sights and smells of the holidays, while enjoyed by many, can also cause stress for those in society who have varying degrees of autism and other conditions, especially children. That’s why the Aroostook Autism Support Group spearheaded a project before Christmas to provide a more pleasurable gathering for those affected by certain festivities.

Jandreau takes silver at tournament

PITTSFIELD, Maine — Two Caribou wrestlers placed at the Mid Maine Wrestling Tournament held at Maine Central Institute Saturday.
Cory Jandreau wrestling at 120 lbs. and used two wins to get to the finals, only to be defeated by Dexter High School’s Tyler Beem.

Caribou sweeps alumni games against Wildcats

CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou Booster’s Club held its annual alumni basketball game Dec. 21 that featured young and old Vikings playing host to their Presque Isle Wildcat counterparts. The spirited games help to raise funds to support Caribou High School’s athletic programs as well as entertained a “home for the holidays” crowd.
