Caribou named most affordable place to live in Maine

    CARIBOU — The most northeastern city in The County is also the most affordable place to live in Maine, according to a study done by the financial technology company SmartAsset.     The County’s three largest municipalities ranked top in the study, Caribou placing first, followed by Houlton and Presque Isle.

Defensive pressure gives Vikes victory

Following Saturday’s overtime loss at Foxcroft Academy, Caribou bounced back in impressive fashion Monday afternoon against John Bapst.
The Vikings cranked up the intensity on the defensive end of the floor and it led to numerous fast-break baskets in the 77-29 distmantling of the Crusaders at CHS.

2 earn medals at Ellsworth tourney

Caribou’s Evan Michaud and Dustin DeMerchant both won silver medals and Cory Jandreau took fourth place at Saturday’s wrestling tourney in Ellsworth.
Michaud, competing in the 106 lb. division, continued his fine season. He beat Brandon Weston of Foxcroft in the semifinals before losing to John Bapst’s Jacob Emery in the finals.
