PORTLAND — The Catholic Foundation of Maine recently announced that it will distribute over $890,000 to 97 endowment funds in 2015. The Parish of the Precious Blood, headquartered in Caribou, is earmarked for a share of the funding.
The Maine Educational Talent Search program, or METS, is a federal initiative established to encourage more young people to set high academic expectations, stay in school, study hard, and take the courses needed to prepare them for college-level studies.

CARIBOU — Aroostook County has drawn the interest of a foreign company looking for agriculturally based opportunities in the region, said officials at the Northern Maine Development Commission, who reported the name of the company is being kept confidential.
