We are the Green Team

By Alexia Huffman, Isabella Cherrier & Chris York
Grade 2, Hilltop
We recycle. We reuse paper. We go to the igloos. We work in the cafeteria. We wear Green Team shirts.
Years ago, they used to use plastic forks and spoons at school and one day Mrs. Theriault and her class decided it was better to use regular silverware. Plastic is just thrown away and it fills the landfill. Factories that make it also pollute our air. This is not good. We can use silverware now because we stay in the lunchroom and make sure no one throws it away. If they forget, we grab it. That is when the Green Team started and it still goes on and on.

We think Mrs. Brissette should let us pick from the prize box. Since, we are so good and we read books. She also loves us and is nice. We think she will let us pick from the prize box because girls are her favorite and we are girls. We should also be able to pick from the prize box because we do our homework and get good grades.

Caswell
Our opinion is that lock ins are fun and we should have one. One reason we should have a lock in is because when we are at the lock in we will not be bugging are parents,we will be at the lock in having fun and are parents will be home and we won’t be there to bug them.So please can we have a lock in?
Another reason is we should have a lock in is because we are trustworthy and we have never break anything at school anything in the school. We don’t usually break anything at school.Thats why I think we should, please.

Also, they love us and they tell us this all the time. We think they would take us if we paid for it. I would use my saved money.

Why Ms. Hathaway is the best teacher ever

By Stephanie Parent
& Matthew Martin
Caswell
Ms. Hathaway is the best teacher ever because she is more fun than other teachers.
She is more fun than other teachers because she gives us candy and hugs. She does not give us a lot of homework, and she helps us alot. She likes us more than other teachers because all the other teachers don’t like us. Ms. Hathaway is better than other teachers because she is older and has more experience.
When asked if she thinks she is the best teacher ever she said “No.”
