Tennis teams eye post-season

The Caribou tennis teams were scheduled to wrap up the regular season with a match in Presque Isle Tuesday afternoon.
The Vikings had beaten the Wildcats at home last Wednesday, with the boys winning 3-2 and the girls 5-0.
The doubles teams helped provide the margin of victory in the boys’ match, as Alec Cyr and Austin Scott prevailed in first doubles and Emerson Duplissie-Cyr and Austin Cheplic came out on top in the other match.

Caribou track and field teams loaded with talent

Caribou High School over the years has built a legacy of success in high school track and field, and this year’s team is no exception, as proven by the Aroostook League titles they captured Thursday.
Head coaches Roy Alden and Todd Alley, along with assistant coaches P.J. Gorneault and Evan Graves, once again have fostered great interest and excitement in their program. Their enthusiasm and expertise has proven to be contagious, and the Viking athletes are performing at very high levels.

NMCC grads urged to open, follow their hearts

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Graduation season kicked off May 16 as 245 NMCC students were presented associate degrees and certificates during this year’s commencement exercises, which were held at The Forum in Presque Isle.
The largest group of students graduated from the trade and technical occupations department. One hundred fourteen scholars earned associate degrees in programs ranging from automotive collision repair and diesel hydraulics technology, to computer electronics and electrical construction and maintenance.
