Employment law course comes to PI in September

     AUGUSTA — The Maine Department of Labor will offer a free course to educate employers and the public about regulations governing the workplace.  The Laws Governing Workplace Rights classes are taught by staff of the Wage and Hour Division of the Bureau of Labor Standards.

Night with the Stars is Sept. 12

     PRESQUE ISLE — On Saturday, Sept. 12, Aroostook Aspirations Initiative will sponsor the second annual Night with the Stars, hosted by the University of Maine at Presque Isle.  This event was created by Aroostook Aspirations Initiative to honor their newly-elected Gauvin scholars from throughout The County.

     PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Alumni from the University of Maine at Presque Isle are asked to send in photos for a “Take a Walk Down Memory Lane” at the annual Alumni Brunch to be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Alumni Room.

Youthful Owl men to play home opener Friday

     PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Most teams coming off a 3-12-1 campaign may think of themselves in a rebuilding mode going into the 2015 season. Take into account that the current roster is 70 percent freshmen and sophomore student-athletes, and most would agree that the Owls may be a few seasons away from turning the tables. After taking a deeper look into this year’s team, one may consider a more optimistic approach to the upcoming season.
