Many qualify as soccer playoffs begin this weekend

     There were still some things to be decided depending on the outcomes of matches held Tuesday, which was the date for final regular season matches throughout the state, but it looks like many teams from the region will be in action when the playoffs get underway this weekend.

Ouellette earns caregiver nomination of year

     CARIBOU, Maine — Erica Ouellette, RN, and certified diabetes educator was recognized at a recent all-staff forum at Cary Medical Center. Ouellette was nominated as the hospital’s Caregiver of the Year for 2015.  The Maine Hospital Association asks every hospital in the state to nominate an employee for the annual award that is announced at the MHA’s summer forum.

Elwood “Buster” Gallagher

CARIBOU — Elwood “Buster” Gallagher, 87, passed away October 14, 2015 in Presque Isle. He was born in Caribou March 11, 1928. Mr. Gallagher attended the Caribou schools and he married Betty Langley in July 1947.
