     The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will conduct organizational meetings for men’s softball and co-ed softball on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center.

Organization launches wellness series

     A local organization specializing in fitness activities for youth and adults announces events designed to raise awareness and encourage more area residents to become active in northern Maine in the spring, summer and fall.

Caribou improvement funds now available

     CARIBOU, Maine — City officials recently announced the funding for facade improvement grants and slum and blight removal. This is a new program for the municipality which is funded through the Downtown TIF District. As such, all projects must be located within the Downtown TIF District. For 2016 the City has set aside $50,000 for each program.

     CARIBOU, Maine — Ordinary people can do extraordinary things, and some of those will be honored at this year’s 18th annual Red Cross Real Heroes Breakfast slated for Wednesday, May 11, 2016.
