    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Track and field teams, after spending the past two weekends on Interstate 95 at away meets, finally got to stay in the area for a competition involving all the Aroostook County squads.

Babysitters course

     The Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center will host a babysitters course May 14, 2016 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for those ages 11-15. Youth planning to babysit will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly provide care to children and infants. The fee is $35, which includes lunch. Pre-registration is required.

Special Olympics scheduled for May 13

     PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The 40th annual Special Olympics Spring Games will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016, at the Johnson Athletic Complex at Presque Isle Middle School. The Opening Ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and members of the community are invited and encouraged to attend the day’s activities.
