The Aroostook County Action Program Inc. is providing preschool special education services to families in northern Maine for the coming two months through an agreement reached this week with State of Maine, Child Development Services (CDS)
CARIBOU, Maine — On May 3, 2016 Daughters of Isabella Holy Rosary Circle 638 gathered for a delicious potluck dinner/social at the parish center. Acting chancellor was Josephine St. Peter, who led the group in a blessing before the meal. The refreshment committee included: Michelle Raymond, Priscilla Foley, with help from Judy Dubois, Laura Hodshan and Heidi Bugler. Guests for the evening were: Judy Bougie, Laura Hodshan and Heidi Bugler.
The Nylander Museum is not dead, although it may be on life-support. It needs the help of the community.
Memorial Day, a federal holiday since 1967, originated from the American Civil War to honor the Union and Confederate dead. During the early 20th century the occasion has been extended to recognize all Americans who have sacrificed their life during military conflict.
CARIBOU, Maine — Hundreds of audience members poured into the Caribou Inn & Convention Center last week, with late guests parking on the grass, to see people in The County who have saved lives and displayed tremendous bravery. These heroic individuals live throughout Aroostook County, and were honored during the May 11, 2016, Red Cross Real Heroes Breakfast.

LIMESTONE —Lucien J. Longlais, 88, passed away May 12, 2016 at his Limestone residence. He was born in Caribou, October 3, 1927 the son of the late Johnnie and Margaret (Levesque) Longlais. Lucien married Cecile Levesque in 1955, and she predeceased him in October 1999.
