Presque Isle council says search for a new city manager is going better than expected

City council members said five people have applied for the position in the week and a half since it was posted with Municipal Resources Inc. Previous city manager Martin Puckett resigned from his position after 11 years to take a job as executive director at the Central Aroostook Association, which helps people with disabilities.

Delicious Drag Divas give a lively performance at UMPI

The cheers of people dressed in Halloween costumes reverberated in the Campus Center’s second floor at the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday night. The drag show and costume party was hosted by Delicious Drag Divas, a Bangor-based group of performers.

Presque Isle unveils proposed $26M budget during council workshop

Interim city manager Lewis Cousins introduced the proposed 2024 budget with adjustments made by previous city manager Martin Puckett who resigned earlier this month. Total municipal expenses for the city are estimated at $26 million, up from $25 million this year.
